What you will do

• Build and evolve a next-generation, cross-platform game framework for web, mobile, desktop, and land-based gaming platforms.
• Design and develop core framework components used across multiple games, teams, and technologies.
• Influence technical architecture and engineering direction to ensure scalability and maintainability.
• Solve complex performance and optimization challenges across different platforms, languages, and environments.
• Champion engineering best practices by writing clean, high-quality code to maintain a robust framework.
• Collaborate with game developers, QA, and platform engineering teams within Agile (Scrum/Kanban) environments.

Requirements

• Proven experience building complex, scalable, and maintainable software systems.
• Strong object-oriented programming skills and proficiency in TypeScript, C#, C++, or similar.
• Hands-on experience with modern game engines such as Unreal, Unity, or equivalent technologies.
• Experience delivering solutions through iterative Agile development practices.
• Must be based in or able to commute to the Manchester studio at least 4 days a week.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working across multidisciplinary teams.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of casino gaming, iGaming, or other regulated software environments.
• Experience with WebGL, browser performance optimization, and modern web technologies.
• Understanding of mobile development and performance optimization for Android and iOS.
• Experience with graphics programming, rendering pipelines, or shaders.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, build systems, and extending game engines through native modules or SDKs.
