What you will do

• Perform on-site observations of environmental remediation and abatement projects to monitor quality.
• Conduct asbestos-related functions, including hazard assessments, surveys, and sampling.
• Review abatement plans, specifications, and survey reports.
• Prepare technical reports and compile data relating to assigned activities.
• Consult with staff members on environmental questions and construction project issues.
• Coordinate with engineers, consultants, and contractors at field sites.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work in Scranton, Pennsylvania.
• Degree (Associates or BS) in Science, Engineering, or Construction related field preferred.
• 2+ years of environmental and/or construction experience preferred.
• PADEP and USEPA certifications (Project Monitor, Inspector, Assessor, etc.) preferred.
• Must be able to pass annual physical examination to confirm ability to wear a respirator.
• Ability to travel frequently, including overnight stays.

Nice to have

• Experience with mold and other environmental hazards.
• Intermediate technical working knowledge of PADEP regulations.
