Trial Attorney (Insurance)

Location: Must be based in New Jersey (Roseland, Hamilton, or Marlton). This is a hybrid role requiring 2 days in the office and 3 days remote.

Salary: $130,000 – $168,000 per year.

What you will do

• Represent insureds before the court and present witnesses and evidence on litigated claims.
• Analyze complex legal issues and develop initial defense strategies.
• Draft pleadings, written discovery, motions, and briefs.
• Handle all activities related to full trials and appeals as assigned.
• Provide legal advice to the claims department and maintain timely communication with clients.
• Manage a caseload from inception to resolution while adhering to litigation guidelines.

Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA accredited law school required.
• Member in good standing of the New Jersey Bar required.
• 7+ years of legal experience in the jurisdiction required.
• Ability to demonstrate independent judgment and strong litigation skills.
• Proficiency in legal case management software and Microsoft Office.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license required.
