Location: Hybrid (Manchester, UK) - in-office presence twice a week required

What you will do

• Develop and maintain features and services across the platform with end-to-end ownership from design to deployment.
• Contribute to early-stage prototyping and infrastructure work to shape the platform's foundations.
• Influence architectural decisions and align technical choices with squad delivery goals.
• Mentor junior engineers through code reviews, pairing, and knowledge sharing.
• Champion DevOps practices, CI/CD, automation, and observability.
• Participate in incident management rotas and uphold security standards.

Requirements

• Solid hands-on engineering experience with proficiency across both frontend and backend development.
• Experience with Node/TypeScript, React, Java, AWS, Kubernetes, and Kafka (or a comparable modern stack).
• Strong knowledge of microservices, APIs, and cloud-based deployment.
• Proficiency in CI/CD, containerization, and modern DevOps practices.
• Experience working in a product-led, agile software delivery environment.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Manchester, UK (office presence twice a week).

Nice to have

• Experience in media, audio streaming, or consumer platforms.
• Interest in AI-assisted development tooling to improve productivity and code quality.
