Maintenance Technician (Nunavut Remote Camp)

Location: Must be based in or able to travel to Edmonton, AB for site deployment in Nunavut

Compensation: CAD 38 per hour

What you will do

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on kitchen appliances, electrical systems, and plumbing.
• Diagnose and resolve electrical, plumbing, and mechanical issues to minimize downtime.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with industry standards.
• Manage inventory of spare parts and tools for appliance repairs.
• Collaborate with camp management and maintenance staff to address equipment concerns.
• Maintain accurate documentation of all maintenance activities and repairs.

Requirements

• Must be able to pass a Drug & Alcohol Test and Health Assessment Test
• Must be able to clear a Criminal Background Check
• Must be able to provide own transportation to Edmonton, AB
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and plumbing.
• Experience with commercial kitchen equipment and preventative maintenance programs.
• Ability to work in a remote camp environment on a 3-week on/3-week off rotation.

Nice to have

• Journeyman Certification
• First Aid with CPR certification
• Experience working in remote or fly-in/fly-out camps in Canada
