What you will do

• Administer and troubleshoot various Linux/Unix distributions including RHEL, Oracle Solaris, and cloud-based OS.
• Automate routine tasks and infrastructure using Bash, Python, Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
• Implement DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and manage containerization with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Configure and secure networking protocols and implement security best practices using SELinux, firewalls, and encryption.
• Perform capacity planning, resource optimization, and diagnose kernel-level issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to lead server deployment and infrastructure migration projects.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Linux/Unix system administration (or 18 years total if without a degree).
• Expertise in Solaris Unix and Red Hat Linux.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific/technical discipline.
• Ability to pass a Tier 4/HIGH Background Investigation.
• Must be based in or able to work 100% on-site in Austin, Texas.
