TL;DR
Systems Administrator (TS/SCI, FS) (Systems Administration, Associate): Support day-to-day operations of laboratory computer systems, including installation, configuration, maintenance, recovery, performance monitoring, storage management, and security management with an accent on compliance auditing and troubleshooting in UNIX/Linux and Windows environments. Focus on implementing system policies, managing Active Directory services, and using configuration management and DEVOPS capabilities (e.g., Puppet/Ansible and CI/CD) to keep systems patched and reliable.
Location: Tysons Corner, VA (fully on-site; schedule subject to change)
Salary: $125,000–$200,000 per year

What you will do
- Respond to inquiries for computer and network operations; create and manage accounts.
- Install, configure, update, and remove system and application software; install and manage system hardware.
- Configure remote hosting/sharing protocols (e.g., NFS, NIS, Samba) and manage backups and restores.
- Monitor and allocate system resources (CPU, memory, storage) and audit system logs for compliance.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues; document configurations, maintenance, and backup history.
- Implement system policies and procedures, patch operating systems, and manage Active Directory services; support systems scanning with ISSE reporting.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret/SCI with FS Poly clearance (clearance process includes financial background review).
- Seven (7) years of system administrator experience; five (5) years or more of total intelligence community relevant system administrator experience.
- Functional knowledge of UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
- Functional knowledge of distributed/clustered computing, cloud computing, and virtualization environments.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet and Ansible.
- Proficiency with at least one administrative language (shell, Perl, Tk, PowerShell, Python, etc.).
