Research Fellow (AI Safety): Conducting open-source and targeted research to support AI safety and threat intelligence with an accent on adversarial red teaming and model evaluations. Focus on analyzing emerging threats, summarizing complex data into actionable reports, and designing research methods for AI security.

Location: Remote (Must be based in the continental U.S.)

Salary: $25–$32.50 per hour

What you will do

• Conduct open-source and targeted research using social media, forums, and news outlets.
• Analyze, summarize, and report findings for various stakeholders.
• Explore emerging questions and adapt research focus as priorities shift.
• Collaborate with the team to design and refine research methods and analytic approaches.
• Research sensitive topics, including hate, violence, scams, and fraud, with professionalism.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in international relations, political science, economics, cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Demonstrated interest or experience in online research, information security, or trust & safety.
• Ability to synthesize complex information into concise, actionable reports.
• Must be based in the continental U.S.
• Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python) or familiarity with research automation tools.
