What you will do

• Own the technical direction, architecture, and execution of an AI attack simulation product.
• Partner with Product Management and Security Research to define strategy, roadmap, customer outcomes, and measurable success criteria.
• Design and build agentic workflows, tool integrations, execution systems, guardrails, and AI evaluation frameworks.
• Establish an AI-first workflow spanning discovery, research, prototyping, implementation, validation, release, and continuous improvement.
• Remain hands-on with architecture, prototyping, implementation, and complex technical problem-solving.
• Mentor engineers, lead technical reviews, support hiring, and improve reliability, security, observability, and product quality.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including technical leadership of complex production systems.
• Strong backend, distributed-systems, and cloud-native engineering experience.
• Experience building production AI or agentic systems with tool use, orchestration, structured outputs, state management, guardrails, and evaluation.
• Cybersecurity experience in offensive security, attack simulation, AI security, red teaming, penetration testing, or control validation.
• Strong proficiency in Go and experience with at least one additional production language such as Python, Rust, Java, or TypeScript.
• Strong product judgment, direct Product Management partnership, and the ability to mentor engineers and lead through ambiguity.

Nice to have

• Experience with AI red teaming, adversarial machine learning, AI security evaluation, autonomous security testing, or breach and attack simulation.
• Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, ATLAS, and threat-informed defense.
• Experience with agent orchestration technologies such as OpenAI Agents SDK, LangGraph, AutoGen, or equivalent systems.
• Experience developing AI evaluation datasets, graders, traces, regression frameworks, secure sandboxes, or constrained execution environments.
• Experience delivering enterprise, self-hosted, air-gapped, or regulated software and hiring or developing senior engineers.
