What you will do

• Review drawings and specifications to define project scope and attend pre-bid meetings.
• Develop and validate comprehensive cost estimates including labor, materials, and subcontracting.
• Price out mechanical, plumbing, and architectural work for renovations and replacements.
• Collaborate with operations teams and trade leads to support pricing strategies.
• Perform post-bid and job cost analysis to drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to the refinement of estimating tools, models, and processes.

Requirements

• Technical training in construction or equivalent estimating experience.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly spreadsheets.
• Ability to read and interpret building specifications and blueprints.
• Experience in a small works or institutional environment.
• Strong analytical, mathematical, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to manage fluctuating workloads and meet strict deadlines.

Nice to have

• Post-secondary education in a relevant field.
• Previous experience in commercial construction estimating.
