Location: Must be based in Mexico City, Mexico. This is a hybrid role requiring 3 days per week in the Mexico City office.

Salary: MX$1,170,000 – MX$1,404,000

What you will do

• Participate in the architecture, design, and development of highly concurrent, distributed backend systems in Go.
• Build and operate proxy data planes (gateways and relays) and control-plane services using CI/CD pipelines.
• Collaborate with architects, product managers, and SRE teams to define system roadmaps and deploy software solutions.
• Write clean, maintainable code involving secure network protocols and cryptographic primitives like TLS/mTLS.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues across distributed, multi-cloud environments.
• Provide technical mentorship to peers and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Must be based in or able to work from Mexico City.
• 5+ years of professional experience as a software engineer with a focus on Go, distributed systems, and backend/network services.
• Proficiency with concurrent programming, goroutines, channels, and standard networking/cryptography libraries.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, network protocols, and API design (gRPC/Protobuf or REST).
• Experience with AWS or other major cloud providers and cloud-native deployment models.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related discipline.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying and operating distributed services using Terraform automation.
• Experience with Azure or GCP.
