What you will do

• Direct daily operations of the treatment plant, pumping stations, and sewer lines.
• Review and adjust treatment processes to maximize operational efficiency.
• Ensure plant effluent meets Federal (EPA) and State Departments of Environmental Quality standards.
• Prepare and submit discharge monitoring reports (DMRs).
• Supervise, train, and evaluate plant operators and maintenance technicians.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and contractors to manage plant upgrades and infrastructure construction.

Requirements

• Must have at least 5 years experience as a W5 licensed superintendent in the State of Maryland.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in management and oversight of wastewater treatment plants with advanced treatment systems.
• Must be licensed as Maryland (MD) Wastewater Treatment (W5) Activated Sludge with Class (WA) Advanced Wastewater Treatment.
• Thorough experience with Maryland Department of the Environment (MDE) operations and reporting requirements.
• High School diploma; Bachelors degree preferred.
• Must be able to pass a government background check and be fluent in English.
