What you will do

• Develop and implement an ISO 9001-aligned QMS, including the Quality Manual, policies, and procedures.
• Manage supplier quality in Mexico, including qualification, audits, and Supplier Quality Agreements (SQAs).
• Design and maintain IQC processes, in-process quality control plans (QCPs), and final electrical test protocols.
• Lead root cause analysis for internal non-conformances and field failures using 8D, Fishbone, and 5-Why tools.
• Monitor quality KPIs such as first-pass yield (FPY), scrap rate, and Cost of Quality (CoQ).
• Maintain digital systems for tracking NCRs, SCARs, and calibration registers.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in quality engineering within electrical, power, or industrial manufacturing.
• Solid understanding of UL 891/67 compliance or equivalent LV switchgear/panelboard standards.
• Experience managing international supplier quality, including audits and FAI documentation.
• Proficiency in PFMEA, control plans, and IQC sampling methodology.
• Must be based onsite in Los Angeles, CA.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
• Experience implementing or certifying a QMS to ISO 9001 from an early stage.
• Experience with ERP quality modules for tracking NCRs and KPIs.
• Fluency in Spanish.
