What you will do

• Architect and build foundational AI-driven mapping infrastructure and scalable backend pipelines.
• Develop real-time, high-availability, and low-latency systems for a self-driving fleet.
• Implement comprehensive metrics, observability, and anomaly detection across systems.
• Collaborate with Perception, Motion Planning, and Simulation teams to design intuitive APIs.
• Transition fluidly between backend pipelines, API design, and vehicle-side serving.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of industry experience with a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Python combined with systems-level engineering in C++ or Rust.
• Proven experience deploying production-quality, fault-tolerant distributed systems on modern cloud platforms.
• Strong computer science fundamentals and ability to learn 3D geometry and spatial data structures.
• Must be based in the US or Canada.

Nice to have

• Experience with autonomous vehicles, HD mapping, or robotics.
• Knowledge of geospatial systems and tools like QGIS, GDAL, or PostGIS.
• Experience with ML pipelines or large-scale data processing (Spark, Airflow, Ray, Kafka).
