What you will do

• Lead L4-L5 commissioning activities and implement overall commissioning strategies.
• Enforce testing standards for critical infrastructure to ensure system performance and quality.
• Validate new equipment and suppliers in collaboration with development teams.
• Translate operational requirements into technical specifications for scalability and sustainability.
• Mentor commissioning and operations teams on new equipment and updated sequences of operations (SOO).
• Manage multiple tasks and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, or equivalent industry/military experience.
• 7+ years of experience in engineering, installation, or startup/commissioning of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Willingness to travel 50% and relocate to the Northern Virginia area.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with vendors and stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Chartered or Professional Engineer (PE) license.
• Experience with large global data center providers across multiple regions.
• Knowledge of critical data center equipment (UPS, Generators, Chillers, Switchgear, etc.) and local building codes.
• Proven track record of mentoring and growing technical teams.
