Commissioning Lead (AI Infrastructure)

What you will do

• Lead all commissioning activities from pre-functional testing through integrated systems testing (IST) and final owner acceptance.
• Develop and drive the commissioning schedule in coordination with construction and project management teams.
• Oversee and coordinate subcontractors and vendors during systems startup and performance verification across MEP and electrical systems.
• Write and execute commissioning plans, functional performance tests (FPTs), and IST scripts based on project requirements.
• Document all deficiencies, track resolution to closure, and maintain complete Cx record packages.
• Manage the punch list and systems turnover process until certificate of occupancy and final acceptance.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in commissioning, with 3+ years leading Cx on mission-critical or data center projects.
• Hands-on experience with generators, UPS, switchgear, cooling infrastructure (CRAH/CRAC, chillers), and BMS/controls.
• Proven ability to develop commissioning plans and IST procedures from scratch.
• Strong ability to read and interpret single-line electrical diagrams, P&IDs, and mechanical drawings.
• Must be based in the USA and comfortable with 3-6 month periods of on-site travel.

Nice to have

• Experience commissioning hyperscale or colocation data center facilities.
• Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP) or BCxA accreditation.
• Familiarity with Procore, Bluebeam, Cx Alloy, or FACTSuite.
• Experience working in high-growth startup environments with accelerated schedules.
