Senior Systems Security Engineer (Cybersecurity)

TL;DR

Senior Systems Security Engineer (Cybersecurity): Supporting Naval Aviation acquisition programs by ensuring system security and cyber resiliency with an accent on vulnerability research and protective architecture. Focus on developing contractual requirements for developmental programs and coordinating with DoD agencies to ensure horizontal protection requirements are met.

Location: On-site in Lexington Park, MD (5 days per week)

Salary: $170,000 - $210,000 per year

What you will do

• Identify weapon system critical program information (CPI) and determine the consequence of compromise.
• Conduct critical analysis and modeling on proposed architectures and document protective designs.
• Develop and advocate for contractual requirements in support of developmental programs.
• Facilitate the evaluation of weapon system architectures for compliance with protection standards.
• Coordinate with Joint and Department of Defense agencies to ensure system horizontal protection requirements are met.
• Support program risk management and serve as a Technical Review Board (TRB) member providing SSE expertise.

Requirements

• Must possess a current Top-Secret clearance with the ability to obtain/maintain Top-Secret/SCI.
• At least 10 years of experience in systems engineering and systems security engineering (SSE).
• Experience with DoD systems acquisition life cycle and applying SE methods to weapon systems.
• BA/BS degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related scientific/technical discipline.
• Location: Must be based in or work on-site in Lexington Park, MD.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in a related scientific or technical discipline.
• Knowledge of model-based systems engineering (MBSE) and digital engineering transformations.
• Recent and direct experience in AT systems engineering and DoD acquisitions.
