What you will do

• Define the technical direction and create the overall strategy and roadmap for sensor development.
• Manage strategic relationships with sensor vendors and lead the testing and evaluation of new samples.
• Oversee the sensor integration pipeline and optimize configurations for resolution, frame rate, and FOV.
• Implement systems for monitoring data integrity and define standards for sensor cleanliness and validation.
• Collaborate with the Simulation team to build and validate accurate sensor models.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to ensure team cohesion and alignment with strategy.

Requirements

• 10+ years of hands-on experience with Lidar, Radar, and Camera, preferably in robotics or autonomous vehicles.
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role.
• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Optical, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Mechatronics, Computer Science, or related field.
• Proven track record in leading sensor development, validation, or integration for complex systems.
• Must be based in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience with GNSS and/or IMU.
• Technical experience specifically in developing self-driving vehicles.
