What you will do

• Define and implement the R&D strategy and technology roadmap for wound management in collaboration with Global Marketing.
• Lead portfolio prioritization and investment decisions to align innovation with business objectives.
• Coordinate internal R&D activities across Sempach and Mirandola for efficient industrialization of solutions.
• Manage and coordinate third-party development partners to accelerate innovation and optimize resources.
• Lead and mentor R&D scientists and engineers to foster a high-performance, innovation-driven culture.
• Act as the primary R&D partner to Marketing, Clinical, Regulatory, Quality, and Operations.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, Life Sciences, or a related field.
• 5+ years of R&D experience in medical devices.
• Deep technical background in wound management and wound healing products.
• Proven experience in R&D strategy, portfolio management, or innovation leadership.
• Solid understanding of ISO 13485, MDR, and FDA requirements.
• Fluency in English.
