Junior Automation Engineer

Location: Onsite in Clonmel, Tipperary, Ireland

What you will do

• Design control systems for industrial automation equipment from the concept stage.
• Collaborate with clients and project design teams to develop control system design specifications.
• Select and manage automation contractors throughout the project life cycle.
• Review system integrator and vendor design documentation.
• Coordinate with automation vendors and track current automation technology trends.
• Attend control system hardware and software factory acceptance tests.

Requirements

• Degree in IT, automation, computer science, engineering, or another related technical discipline.
• Knowledge of PAS-X MES or another MES system.
• Experience with data historian and reporting systems such as OSI PI and RtReports.
• Knowledge of shop-floor hardware configuration, including label printers, scanners, tablets, and HMIs.
• Knowledge or previous exposure to automation systems such as PLCs and DeltaV DCS.
• At least 2 years of GxP experience in life sciences, pharmaceuticals, or medical devices.
