What you will do

• Design and scale CDC, snapshot, and streaming ingestion systems to transfer operational data into the data lake.
• Improve pipeline reliability, scalability, data quality, and monitoring to reduce replication lag.
• Develop self-service onboarding flows and tooling for partner teams to register databases and schemas securely.
• Collaborate with platform teams and data consumers to implement appropriate ingestion patterns based on latency and compliance.
• Implement access controls, PII-handling workflows, and retention pipelines to protect sensitive data.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience building backend platforms or distributed data systems.
• Strong proficiency in Java, Scala, or Python.
• Deep technical expertise with relational databases (e.g., Postgres) and change data capture (CDC) mechanisms.
• Proven experience operating large-scale streaming systems using Kafka, Flink, or Spark.
• Familiarity with AWS S3, Kubernetes, and schema governance.
• Must be based in Bellevue, WA for hybrid office attendance.
