Accounting Manager (Entertainment)

What you will do

• Lead monthly financial closings and trial balance preparation in accordance with US GAAP and local IFRS.
• Manage statutory reporting and tax compliance (VAT, Payroll, WHT) in collaboration with third-party accounting firms.
• Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and cash flow forecasting processes.
• Drive continuous improvement in accounting workflows and lead the rollout of S4/SAP enhancements.
• Supervise and coach internal accounting staff and manage relationships with external service providers.
• Establish and manage internal controls to ensure asset security and SOX compliance.

Requirements

• Degree in accounting with a post-graduate qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent).
• 5+ years of relevant experience in Financial Accounting, preferably with Big 4 experience.
• Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP, Mexico Tax Compliance (Income Tax, Transfer Pricing, VAT), and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
• Must reside within commutable distance to the Mexico City office.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data modeling.

Nice to have

• Experience in the Entertainment industry.
• Experience with tools such as Blackline, Power BI, Tableau, Hyperion, or BPC.
