What you will do
- Define and lead the technical content strategy for the Security Lab, producing blog posts, tutorials, videos, and CTFs.
- Act as a subject matter expert and ambassador for security researchers, open source maintainers, and enterprise developers.
- Advocate for community needs to influence the roadmap of security tools like CodeQL, Dependabot, and Copilot Autofix.
- Represent the Security Lab at high-visibility security and developer conferences and hackathons.
- Mentor and sponsor other team members while establishing frameworks for producing high-impact security content.
- Help the community navigate the intersection of AI and security, including securing AI-generated code.
Requirements
- Must be based in the United States.
- 10+ years of experience in software development, IT, or community engagement (or 8+ years with a Bachelor's degree).
- Proven experience delivering technical keynotes at major security conferences (e.g., Black Hat, DEF CON) or publishing regular security content.
- 2+ years of experience in application security, vulnerability research, or a security-focused Developer Advocacy role.
- 4+ years of experience working with Git, , and modern software development practices.
Nice to have
- 2+ years of experience with static analysis tools like CodeQL.
- Active participation in security communities or open source maintainer communities.
- Public contributions to AI/ML security topics, such as LLM red-teaming or securing AI-generated code.
