What you will do

• Lead the design and delivery of the 2LOD assurance programme for Financial Crime, Conduct, Compliance, and Operational Risk.
• Develop and run a data-led compliance monitoring model to identify emerging risks and inform assurance priorities.
• Provide independent assurance and risk reporting to the CCO, ExCo, and the Board.
• Build and lead the assurance team, setting clear standards for planning, scoping, testing, and reporting.
• Create a 1LOD QA reliance and validation model to optimize testing efforts.
• Coordinate assurance coverage with 1LOD and Internal Audit to reduce duplication and maintain independence.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading 2LOD assurance, compliance monitoring, or internal audit in a regulated financial services environment, ideally UK business banking.
• Deep understanding of the distinctions between 1LOD QA, 2LOD assurance, and 3LOD Internal Audit.
• Strong knowledge of UK banking regulatory expectations across conduct, compliance, and financial crime.
• Proficiency in using analytics and AI-enabled tools for risk identification and evidence assessment.
• Strong data literacy and experience in population analysis and trend reporting.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity from the London office.
