What you will do

• Lead independent 2LoD oversight of the global surveillance framework across all regions and asset classes to ensure regulatory alignment.
• Own and maintain the Market Conduct Policy and associated surveillance standards.
• Oversee surveillance performance via senior governance forums, reviewing management information and assurance results.
• Act as the senior 2LoD authority on regulatory judgement for alert outcomes and STOR submissions.
• Design and lead compliance assurance and independent testing over surveillance controls to drive risk-based improvements.
• Advise senior management and committees on market abuse risks and emerging regulatory developments.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of experience overseeing surveillance or monitoring frameworks in Global Markets or investment banking.
• Deep expertise in Market Abuse and a track record of providing second-line oversight.
• Strong exposure to governance, assurance activity, and issue management.
• Experience owning or overseeing global policies and standards.
• Ability to engage with executive-level collaborators and apply sound regulatory judgement in complex scenarios.

Nice to have

• Experience establishing or scaling a global surveillance oversight or market abuse governance framework.
• Involvement in STOR governance, near-miss reviews, or direct regulatory engagement.
• Experience collaborating with surveillance technology, data, or model governance teams.
• Strong presentation skills for senior risk forums and regulatory reviews.
