What you will do

• Design and layout high-performance, high-reliability PCBs for aerospace applications.
• Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, firmware, and software engineers to ensure design requirements are met.
• Use Altium Designer and other industry-leading software to create detailed schematics and layout designs.
• Maintain technical documentation and eCAD design libraries, including part footprints.
• Provide DFM/DFA/DFT and other value-added information during PCB/PCBA design reviews.
• Mentor junior engineers and technicians on PCB layout and Altium best practices.

Requirements

• 5-7 years of experience in PCB layout and design within the aerospace and defense industry.
• Certifications such as CID (Certified Interconnect Designer), CIS (Certified IPC Specialists), or CSE (Certified Standards Expert).
• Strong understanding of digital, analog, mixed-signal, and high-speed layout.
• Proficiency with Altium Designer, Allegro, Mentor Graphics, or KiCad.
• Knowledge of IPC-6012 Class 3 and IPC Class 3 assembly standards.
• Must meet U.S. export control regulations (U.S. person).
