What you will do
- Serve as the primary legal resource for fee, disclosure, and document-vendor matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis on federal and state mortgage regulations.
- Translate legal requirements into practical guidance for Technology, Compliance, and QA teams.
- Evaluate system configurations, document logic, and workflows for regulatory compliance.
- Review testing results and issue findings to ensure system behavior meets legal expectations.
- Identify emerging legal risks and communicate necessary actions to stakeholders.
Requirements
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Experience in mortgage, consumer financial services, or regulatory compliance.
- Advanced knowledge of mortgage regulatory requirements, including fees and disclosures.
- Ability to translate complex legal concepts into actionable business guidance.
- Experience supporting loan origination system document logic or vendor integrations.
- Excellent analytical and communication skills with high attention to detail.

- Experience with DocMagic.
- Prior experience in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
