Analytics Engineer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Analytics Engineer (dbt/Databricks): Building and optimizing data products and high-quality pipelines to empower financial decisions for millions of users with an accent on data modeling, dbt patterns, and pipeline reliability. Focus on designing scalable data transformations, automating day-to-day processes, and resolving data-related incidents.

Location: London, UK. Minimum 2-3 days per week in-office

What you will do

• Design and build data products that support 26 million users in making empowered financial decisions.
• Develop high-quality and reliable data pipelines within an engineering team.
• Define and uphold standards for data modeling conventions, dbt patterns, testing, and observability.
• Solve complex business problems creatively and automate day-to-day operational processes.
• Take end-to-end technical ownership of data initiatives across multiple components and stakeholders.
• Investigate and resolve data-related production incidents.

Requirements

• Expertise in SQL and dbt for designing robust, scalable data transformations on Databricks.
• Ability to translate business requirements and analyst needs into technical delivery.
• Strong communication skills to explain technical solutions to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with orchestration tooling, specifically Databricks Workflows.
• Proven track record of diagnosing production issues and designing for maintainability.
• Must be based in or able to work from the London office (Hybrid)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with data activation tools such as Hightouch.
• Experience with streaming platforms like Kafka.
