What you will do

• Lead the design of Adobe Commerce (Magento) architectures for complex, large-scale implementations.
• Translate technical concepts and architectural trade-offs into actionable language for non-technical stakeholders.
• Ensure functional and non-functional requirements are met while managing budget, risk, and licensing constraints.
• Oversee product quality and alignment with architectural requirements through active code review.
• Support pre-sales and delivery teams by producing cost, risk, and feasibility estimates for proposals.
• Mentor engineers and fellow architects within the global hirify.global developer community.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Solution Architect or Technical Lead working with Adobe Commerce / Magento (Open Source or Commerce Cloud).
• Deep understanding of e-commerce architecture, including catalog, checkout, payments, and integrations (ERP, CRM, PIM, OMS).
• Solid grasp of PHP and the Adobe Commerce technology stack, focusing on customization and best practices.
• Experience designing for performance, scalability, and security in high-traffic environments.
• Fluent English, written and spoken.
• Must be based in Montreal.

Nice to have

• Adobe Commerce / Magento certifications.
• Experience with headless/composable commerce (PWA Studio, Vue Storefront).
• Familiarity with Adobe Experience Cloud products (AEM, Adobe Analytics, Target).
• Experience working in a consulting or agency environment.
• Exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure) and DevOps/CI-CD practices.
