Salary: $77,877.80 – $85,722.00

What you will do

• Apply population health theories and evidence-informed decision-making to support local public health initiatives.
• Appraise and synthesize current evidence to identify effective health promotion actions for the Northern Ontario setting.
• Retrieve population health status information to describe the underlying causes of specific health issues.
• Provide strategic policy advice and draft clear, concise briefs on health promotion issues.
• Develop collaborative relationships with internal and external partners to enhance the impact and sustainability of actions.
• Assist in the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of public health interventions.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in public health, health policy, health promotion, epidemiology, social sciences, or a related discipline.
• 2-5 years’ experience working in a public health setting, preferably in Ontario.
• Strong knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods and literature synthesis.
• Advanced oral and written English proficiency.
• Valid “G” Ontario Driver’s License, use of a reliable vehicle, and ability to travel.
• Satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (PVSC) and compliance with immunization policies.

• Proficiency in French.
