Senior Platform Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Kraków, Poland; hybrid working model with 3 days in the office

What you will do

• Design and architect scalable AWS cloud infrastructure using Terraform and contribute to cloud technology evaluation and standardisation.
• Build, optimise, and maintain infrastructure CI/CD pipelines while establishing DevOps and DevSecOps practices.
• Architect and manage Kubernetes environments across EKS, AKS, and GKE, and deliver self-service capabilities through platform engineering tools such as Backstage.
• Define monitoring, alerting, and observability standards to improve infrastructure reliability and performance.
• Collaborate across development, operations, security, and FinOps teams to support secure and cost-effective platform delivery.
• Mentor junior engineers, share knowledge, and maintain technical documentation.

Requirements

• 4+ years of cloud infrastructure engineering experience with AWS, GCP, and Azure, including complex networking and IaaS/PaaS architecture.
• 2+ years of experience with Terraform or Ansible, orchestration and automation platforms, and scripting in Python, Bash, or Go.
• 2+ years designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, GitLab, GitHub Actions, or equivalent, plus security practices such as secrets management and vulnerability scanning.
• 2+ years administering Kubernetes across on-premises and cloud environments, including networking, RBAC, pod security, Istio, and Docker image management.
• Experience with Backstage, artifact repositories, API gateways, self-service platforms, and observability tools such as Honeycomb, Prometheus, or Grafana.
• Strong knowledge of microservices architecture, networking protocols, DNS, load balancing, traffic management, and version control systems.
