Platform Engineer (AI)

What you will do

• Develop and maintain cloud-native integrations between AI platforms, enterprise services, and cloud infrastructure.
• Build REST API integrations and service communication layers using AWS AgentCore Gateway and related services.
• Develop Python-based services, utilities, and integration components.
• Implement operational controls such as throttling, quota management, circuit breakers, and kill switches.
• Integrate IAM, STS, audit logging, observability, monitoring, and operational reporting capabilities.
• Analyze performance and latency, participate in architecture reviews, troubleshoot platform issues, and document operational practices.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in platform engineering, backend engineering, or a related field.
• Experience building cloud-native API integrations and working with cloud infrastructure.
• Hands-on experience with AWS IAM, STS, and CloudTrail.
• Strong knowledge of REST APIs, distributed systems integration, and Python development.
• Understanding of JSON-RPC 2.0, Server-Sent Events, or similar communication protocols.
• Knowledge of reliability patterns such as throttling, quota enforcement, and circuit breakers, plus strong troubleshooting and communication skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS AgentCore Gateway policy enforcement, MCP architectures, or agent gateway implementation patterns.
• Experience with k6 or Locust for performance and load testing.
• Experience designing Human in the Loop workflows and integrating enterprise AI governance capabilities.
• Knowledge of observability, operational monitoring, and audit reporting solutions.
