Senior Fund Accountant, Private Markets

Location: Toronto, ON, Canada

Salary: CAD 72,000–CAD 105,600 per year

Provides asset servicing solutions for the global investment management industry, including fund administration, middle-office outsourcing, custody, foreign exchange, trustee and depository services, securities lending, and banking services.

What you will do

• Prepare and maintain general ledgers and supporting schedules for private equity funds using Investran.
• Prepare quarterly and annual financial statements under IFRS, US GAAP, ASPE, and other relevant accounting standards.
• Process capital calls, distributions, notices, NAV calculations, investor-level reporting, management fee, and carried interest computations.
• Reconcile bank accounts, intercompany balances, and investment transactions while validating financial data.
• Support audit and tax processes by coordinating with auditors, tax advisors, clients, and internal stakeholders.
• Improve Investran-related processes and workflows, mentor junior team members, and review their work.

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in fund administration or audit.
• Experience with private equity structures and Investran or other accounting software.
• Strong understanding of investment fund structures and private markets accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Excel, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
• Professional accounting designation such as CPA or ACCA preferred or in progress; clear professional communication and client relationship skills required.
