TL;DR
Software Engineer (Java, AI): Resolving complex technical issues and customer escalations in large-scale enterprise applications with an accent on root-cause analysis and production-ready code fixes. Focus on debugging challenging problems, leveraging AI-augmented engineering tools, and improving product stability and performance.
Location: 100% remote in the eastern and central US

What you will do
- Analyze and resolve complex customer escalations and technical issues in a timely manner.
- Perform root-cause analysis and defect diagnosis using AI tools like Claude Code, Cursor, and GitHub Copilot.
- Develop and deliver end-to-end production code fixes, including automated test generation and release validation.
- Collaborate with team members to solve advanced problems and maintain the internal knowledge base.
- Provide periodic status updates to customers and management regarding outstanding issues.
- Participate in a Pager rotation for periodic after-hour and weekend coverage.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of software engineering experience.
- Proficiency in Java, J2EE, and Object-Oriented Programming.
- Experience with OS (Linux, UNIX, or Windows) and Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google, IBM, or RedHat).
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Maven, Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, and GitHub.
- Database experience with Oracle, DB2, MS SQL, or MySQL.
- Must be based in the eastern or central United States.
Nice to have
- Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate debugging and remediation within enterprise SDLC.
- Experience with spec-driven or agent-assisted development workflows.
