What you will do

• Develop and maintain product features and capabilities for the Sportsbook API.
• Design customer-focused solutions using TDD methodologies to ensure high-quality code.
• Collaborate with UI, Platform, and Data teams to integrate services.
• Contribute to peer code reviews and suggest architectural improvements.
• Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of code changes to production.
• Continuously improve team tools, processes, and collaboration practices.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Java, Spring Boot, relational databases, and API design.
• Experience with agile methodologies and engineering best practices like TDD and pairing.
• Must be based in or able to work from the Manchester office (Hybrid).
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Keen interest in learning new technologies and industry developments.

Nice to have

• Experience with GraphQL, Kafka, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, specifically AWS.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Splunk or Dynatrace.
