Network Engineer (Fintech): Designing and maintaining low-latency trading network infrastructure with an accent on high availability, multicast routing, and network automation. Location: Must be based in the United States (presence in CA, CO, CT, DE, FL, GA, IL, KS, ME, MD, MI, NV, NJ, NY, NC, PA, SC, UT)
Salary: $140,000 – $170,000

What you will do
- Design, implement, and support a low-latency exchange network environment.
- Configure production network devices using Ansible and Python.
- Respond to network alerts and incidents, performing detailed root cause analysis (RCA).
- Manage customer connection turn-ups and resolve connectivity tickets.
- Collaborate with Security and business teams to engineer and implement secure end-user solutions.
- Coordinate with Data Center and Circuit providers to optimize infrastructure performance and cost.
Requirements
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with low-latency, highly available distributed systems.
- Proficiency in L2/L3 protocols including IGMP, MLAG, ARP, BGP, NAT, and PIM.
- Deep understanding of IP multicast routing (PIM-SM, PIM-Bidir).
- Experience with network operating systems such as EOS, IOS, and PanOS.
- Knowledge of timing protocols (NTP, PTP) and optical fiber types/transceivers.
- Ability to work the second shift (4 PM - 12 AM ET).
Nice to have
- Scripting experience with Python and Ansible.
- Ability to analyze packet captures using tools like Wireshark and tcpdump.
- Familiarity with Mac and Linux operating systems.
- Experience with firewall design and configuration.
