Quality Engineer PPAP (Automotive)

What you will do

• Lead the preparation, review, and submission of customer PPAP packages while ensuring compliance with AIAG requirements.
• Support APQP activities throughout the product lifecycle and participate in launch readiness reviews.
• Develop and maintain Process Flows, PFMEA, and Control Plans for assigned products.
• Conduct process capability studies (Cp, Cpk, Pp, Ppk) and lead Measurement System Analysis (MSA).
• Interface directly with customers regarding PPAP approvals and launch-related quality issues.
• Perform Layered Process Audits (LPA) and CQI assessments to maintain IATF 16949 compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Quality, Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing).
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the automotive industry.
• Proficiency in FMEA, Process Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Actions.
• Strong competence in quality-related statistical methods and data analysis.
• Ability to work onsite in Fort Wayne, IN, US.

Nice to have

• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE).
• Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) and/or IATF 16949 Internal Auditor certification.
• Experience working with SAP.
