Location: Hybrid; must be based in London, Ireland, or New York City

What you will do

• Own and develop the platform infrastructure strategy and map out long-term technical requirements.
• Design and build foundational systems across multiple cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Implement production Go code for scalable platform components.
• Make principled build vs. buy assessments for tools and infrastructure.
• Create comprehensive internal documentation and decision records for architectural forums.

Requirements

• Deep expertise in distributed systems, including consistency/availability tradeoffs and failure modes.
• Advanced Kubernetes knowledge at the operator level, including the scheduler and control loop.
• Professional proficiency in Go for building and shipping production systems.
• Practical experience making architectural decisions across AWS, GCP, and Azure.
• Ability to drive technology choices and write influential design documents across an engineering organization.
• Must be based in or be able to work from London, Ireland, or New York City (Hybrid)

Nice to have

• Experience with system-level storage primitives.
• Background working on SaaS/PaaS products across multiple cloud providers.
• Familiarity with Apache Airflow or other workflow orchestration systems.
