What you will do

• Lead the preparation, compilation, and review of periodic financial reports, statements, disclosures, and supporting schedules.
• Research technical accounting issues and assess the impact of new accounting and regulatory proposals.
• Prepare variance analyses, financial studies, pro-forma models, and analyses of historical and forecast data.
• Support regulatory initiatives by gathering data, preparing schedules, and developing responses and calculations.
• Partner with corporate and business units to connect financial strategies with operational execution and executive decision-making.
• Document financial work and improve reporting processes, workflows, and governance practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related business discipline.
• At least 4 years of professional experience in corporate finance, accounting, regulatory finance, or a related analytical field.
• Strong knowledge of financial statements, variance analysis, key financial metrics, financial modeling, and data organization tools.
• Understanding of regulatory finance and how financial statement changes affect business outcomes and earnings performance.
• Strong partnership, influencing, initiative, and decision-support skills.
• Must work onsite in Columbus, Ohio.

Nice to have

• Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
• Experience across corporate accounting and regulatory or operational finance.
• Experience in regulated industries, utilities, or complex corporate reporting environments.
