Lead Analyst Cloud Financial Operations

Location: Remote - Nationwide, United States

Base salary: $114,000–$165,300 per year

What you will do

• Manage financial reporting for enterprise data platforms, including budgets, expenses, forecasts, run rates, and cost metrics.
• Maintain inventories of cloud consumption, platform expenses, contracts, licenses, and vendor renewals.
• Analyze spending against budgets, identify variances and trends, and explain the drivers of platform costs.
• Monitor AWS and other technology costs, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce unnecessary spending.
• Consolidate financial and usage data from teams, systems, vendors, and stakeholders.
• Build spreadsheets, dashboards, reports, and financial models while partnering with technology, procurement, vendor management, and finance teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Information Systems, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of Cloud FinOps experience or experience managing the finances of cloud infrastructure, data platforms, or technology environments.
• Strong Excel or spreadsheet skills, including organizing, reconciling, analyzing, and modeling financial information.
• Experience with budgets, expenses, forecasts, run rates, contracts, or other financial and operational metrics.
• Familiarity with AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, or another major cloud platform, particularly cloud cost management, billing, or usage reporting.
• Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the United States; employment visa sponsorship, including CPT/OPT sponsorship, is not available.

Nice to have

• AWS Cost Management, Billing, Cost Explorer, or related cloud financial management experience.
• Experience with Snowflake costs, usage, or financial reporting.
• Experience with Azure or Google Cloud cost management in addition to AWS.
• Experience with technology contracts, software licensing, vendor agreements, renewal planning, or executive-level reporting.
• FinOps, AWS, cloud cost management, or related professional certification.
