Data Engineer (GCP)

Location: Remote in Colombia, Mexico, Uruguay, or Latin America

What you will do

• Participate in discovery, solution design, MVP development, and production delivery of data products.
• Build end-to-end real-time and batch data integrations using APIs, Pub/Sub, Cloud Storage, and BigQuery.
• Apply data quality rules, governance, cataloguing, compliance, logging, metrics, and cost controls across pipelines.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Document data processes and models in Confluence.
• Share knowledge and collaborate with technical peers in an Agile and DataOps environment.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role.
• Strong Python and SQL skills.
• Experience integrating data through cloud services in real time and batch, including APIs, storage, analytical components, and relational databases.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery; familiarity with Dataform, Cloud Run, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage is expected or desirable.
• Knowledge of data governance, quality, documentation, Git, CI/CD, and Agile methodologies.
• Fluent Spanish is required; intermediate English is required for documentation and international collaboration.

• Experience with agentic or AI-assisted development tools.
• Experience building data products and delivering them to end users.
