Application Support Engineer

TL;DR

Application Support Engineer: Maintaining and optimizing infrastructure environments with an accent on Linux systems, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines. Focus on managing Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters, ensuring network security, and automating deployment processes.

Location: Must be based in Portugal with Portuguese or EU citizenship, or a valid work permit. Hybrid work (2x a week) in Porto required.

What you will do

• Manage and support Linux-based IT environments.
• Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code using GitOps, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.
• Configure and troubleshoot network security, including SSL certificates and load balancing.
• Automate deployment workflows using tools like Jenkins, XL Deploy, and ArgoCD.
• Support web server infrastructure including Apache, JBoss, and Tomcat.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure system stability and performance.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in Linux IT projects.
• Must be based in Portugal with valid work authorization (Portuguese/EU citizenship or work permit).
• Extensive knowledge of GitOps, Containers, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, and OpenShift.
• Solid understanding of network architecture, SSL, and reverse proxies.
• Proficiency in automation tools (Git, Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory).
• English proficiency: B1 level required.

Nice to have

• Experience with Ansible or Terraform.
• Scripting skills, specifically Python.
• French language proficiency.
