Location: Must be based in Dublin, Ireland. This is a hybrid role requiring two days per week in the office.

What you will do

• Build and maintain stable, scalable foundational services leveraged by multiple engineering teams.
• Collaborate with internal partners and product teams to influence and evolve the API surface.
• Design and develop reliable, secure, and high-availability experiences for dbt Cloud administrators and end users.
• Work iteratively with Product Management, UX, Security, and Customer Support to deliver high-quality features.
• Mentor junior engineers and advocate for platform-focused security standards.

Requirements

• Strong fundamentals in object-oriented programming.
• Experience designing and building API-driven applications using REST and/or gRPC.
• Proven ability to support and evolve APIs through multiple iterations.
• Experience writing unit, functional, and integration tests to ensure high programming standards.
• Must be based in Dublin, Ireland and able to work in a hybrid model.
• Strong communication skills and a systematic approach to problem-solving.

Nice to have

• Experience with authentication protocols like SAML and OIDC.
• Interest in application-level product security.
• Experience with Datadog or similar log monitoring services.
• Background in building mission-critical software for external customers.
