What you will do

• Design, implement, and operate core billing platform services and REST APIs.
• Build new features for the control plane, billing experience, and account lifecycle management.
• Develop high-quality software using AWS, Kafka, and object-oriented programming.
• Troubleshoot and fix operational issues to improve system reliability and troubleshooting tools.
• Execute the full software development life cycle (SDLC) from design to deployment.
• Collaborate with Product teams to define technical requirements and solutions.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building highly scalable products.
• 5+ years of proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented languages with clean code practices.
• Strong expertise in architecture, design patterns, and system reliability.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Proficiency with observability tools such as Grafana, DataDog, or Prometheus.
• Must be based in Ireland.

Nice to have

• Experience with gRPC, Python, TypeScript, or React.
• Experience with on-call support for mission-critical customer systems.
• Proficiency in Linux and Kubernetes containerization.
• Expertise in optimizing complex SQL queries.
