Senior Forward Deployed Engineer (AI)

Location: San Francisco, California, United States; hybrid with at least three office days per week. The role requires travel and on-site work with customers.

Salary: $215,000–$235,000 base salary annually for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area, plus potential bonus or sales incentive and RSUs.

What you will do

• Drive adoption of Fin by helping prospects automate and scale support operations.
• Work directly with strategic customers to understand business challenges and technical requirements.
• Code alongside customer technical teams and deliver projects through completion.
• Collaborate with Sales, Success, Product, R&D, and go-to-market teams to deliver customer solutions and product feedback.
• Influence product direction and roadmap decisions based on real-world customer needs.
• Codify forward-deployed engineering practices and share insights to help scale the function.

Requirements

• Strong software engineering background and deep knowledge of at least one high-level programming language, such as JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
• Experience building a SaaS product with real-world usage.
• Interest in AI/ML and the ability to understand novel problems, architectures, trade-offs, and limitations quickly.
• Ability to prototype and ship quality software quickly while maintaining focus on business outcomes.
• Proficiency in using and writing REST APIs for system integration.
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required; willingness to travel and work on-site with customers is also required.
