What you will do

• Implement and deliver core C and C++ software components for the Yocto-based embedded Linux platform.
• Conduct lab-based bring-up, debugging, and on-device performance testing on drone and camera hardware.
• Identify, isolate, and resolve software defects and hardware integration issues discovered in development or field deployments.
• Document system architectures, technical designs, and test plans for cross-functional execution.
• Author automation scripts in Python or Bash and contribute to CI/CD workflows.

Requirements

• Must be based in the USA.
• Proficiency in C and C++ development and debugging within embedded Linux environments.
• Hands-on experience with the Yocto Project or similar embedded build systems (Buildroot, OpenEmbedded).
• Understanding of low-level Linux concepts, including bootloaders (U-Boot), shell scripting, and kernel configuration.
• Familiarity with Git and continuous integration pipelines (GitHub Actions or Jenkins).

Nice to have

• Practical experience with Rust for embedded systems.
• Experience with Qualcomm SoCs or ARM architectures.
• Knowledge of Linux device drivers.
