What you will do

• Contribute to research and innovation projects in coherent optical communications.
• Develop, evaluate, and test transceiver technologies for intersatellite and ground-to-space links.
• Analyze the impact of weather, atmosphere, and satellite movements on transmission performance.
• Perform laboratory experiments and field trials on optical systems and subsystems.
• Complement experimental results with simulations using Python and MATLAB.
• Prepare technical reports and present findings in publications and at conferences.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Photonics, Physics, Communications Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of optical and digital communication systems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, MATLAB, or C++.
• Experience with laboratory measurements and the use of communication test equipment.
• English: Proficiency in written and spoken English is required.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with FEC, DSP algorithms, and advanced modulation formats.
• Knowledge of free-space optical communications and satellite/mobile communications.
• Experience with high-speed oscilloscopes, optical spectrum analyzers, or optical power meters.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI for software development and task automation.
