Technical Programme Manager - Cyber Security

Location: Welwyn Garden City, United Kingdom; hybrid working with 60% of the week at office locations or local sites and the remainder remotely

What you will do

• Deliver complex cyber security programmes with technical, operational, and risk dependencies.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives across Cyber, Technology, Product, Engineering, and Operations.
• Translate cyber strategy, risk priorities, and security objectives into measurable outcomes, milestones, and delivery plans.
• Manage changing scope, emerging threats, delivery risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations.
• Coordinate technical implementation, operational readiness, change impacts, financial forecasting, and budget management.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and partners, including vendor selection, tendering, SLAs, and delivery assurance.

Requirements

• Proven experience managing cyber security delivery, programmes, or portfolios in a Cyber, Security, or Technology Risk environment.
• Strong experience delivering complex technology or security initiatives across multiple teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent programme, project, stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills, including senior leadership engagement.
• Experience working in environments shaped by cyber risk, threat context, or regulatory obligations.
• Ability to understand cyber and security architectures sufficiently to manage dependencies and delivery risks.
• Strong reporting, planning, and financial forecasting skills.

Nice to have

• Experience across Cyber domains such as Identity and Access Management, Cloud Security, Threat Detection, or Security Engineering.
• Familiarity with threat-informed defence, detection-led security, or risk-based prioritisation.
• Experience delivering security tooling, automation, or platform integration programmes.
