Group Leader - Mechanical Engineering Equipment&Packages (Waste-to-Energy)

Location: Milan, Italy

Salary: €70,000 gross per year minimum; final compensation depends on level, skills, experience, and qualifications.

What you will do

• Lead a multidisciplinary Engineering team and provide technical and disciplinary guidance.
• Perform E&P engineering activities on projects and support coordination of the Mechanical Engineers group.
• Ensure project execution meets timelines, budgets, quality standards, and applicable requirements.
• Review technical specifications, technical clarifications, and vendor documentation.
• Coordinate workload distribution and resource allocation across engineering activities.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and professional development of E&P Engineers.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering.
• Solid technical background in process, product, and waste-to-energy plant engineering.
• At least 8 years of experience as an E&P Engineer with an EPC contractor.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Group Leader.
• Independence in specifying and managing third-party-designed equipment and packages.
• Experience with project execution, problem-solving, and developing engineering guidelines and standards.
