Product Engineer (NPI)

Location: Newport, United Kingdom. Domestic and international travel required, under 25%.

What you will do

• Drive consistent and scalable service models, workflows, tooling, calibration processes, and parts strategies across shared platforms.
• Partner with engineering on hardware, software, and feature updates, assessing impacts on serviceability, training, and spare parts.
• Maintain and improve Product Support Plans using field data to refine cost, reliability, preventive maintenance, and standardization strategies.
• Support customer escalations, identify systemic issues across the installed base, and translate field feedback into engineering and service improvements.
• Develop training materials, documentation, best-practice knowledge, troubleshooting flows, and scalable knowledge systems.
• Support targeted installations and upgrades while driving continuous improvement through cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Excellent technical writing, documentation, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with basic Microsoft software packages.
• Ability and eagerness to learn new technologies, processes, and techniques.
• Experience with high-tech capital equipment, semiconductor manufacturing, ERP, PLM, or CRM systems is preferred.
• Data analysis, project management, MS Project, and Visio experience are preferred.
